The largest Fund Management Firm is BlackRock with a total AUM of $4.73 Trillion.  It was founded in 1988 by Larry Fink, Robert S. Kapito, Susan Wagner, Barbara Novick, Ben Golub, Hugh Frater, Ralph Schlosstein and Keith Anderson.

 

No. 2 Which is the Oldest Fund Management Firm on the List?

BNY Mellon in 1784.  The Bank of New Mellon Corporation was a merger between The Bank of New York and Mellon Financial Corporation.  The Bank of New York was founded in 1784 on the 9th of June, by American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
