Vanguard Starts New China Unit
Vanguard Group Inc has started a wholly foreign owned enterprise in Shanghai. Vanguard has also named Clare Zhao as the general manager of the Shanghai operation. Vanguard is aiming to boost interest among Chinese domestic investors for Exchange-Traded Funds and index-tracking investments.

China has accelerated opening up its capital markets to foreign investors to help counter capital outflows and promote global use of the yuan.
