HSBC Hires Citibank Irene HY Chen as Global Head of UHNW Solutions, to Drive Solutions for UHNWs & Institutional Family Offices

HSBC, one of the world’s largest banking group with $3 trillion assets, has announced the hiring of Citibank Irene HY Chen as HSBC new Global Head of UHNW Solutions to drive solutions for UHNWs & Institutional Family Offices. Irene HY Chen will join HSBC from Citibank on 1st August 2022, where she was Citibank Head of Cross-Asset Solutions Asia (HNW, UHNW, Family Offices). Prior to Citibank, Irene was with Barclays (Wealth and Investment Management for APAC, Middle East & Africa), Credit Suisse and Commerzbank. Irene HY Chen joins HSBC under HSBC Investments and Wealth Solutions (IWS) division for its Wealth and Personal Banking (VWWPB) business, and will accelerate delivery of HSBC’s global UHNW strategy (including product coverage approach, client outcomes). Irene will report to Karl Faivre (HSBC Head of IWS EMEA ex-UK & Switzerland). (UHNW ~ Ultra-High Net Worth)
