Singapore headquartered private equity firm Growtheum Capital Partners founded in 2021 by ex-GIC Amit Kunal (GIC, Head of Direct Investment Group Southeast Asia) & Choo Koon Po had raised $567 million to invest in Southeast Asia & India. Growtheum Capital Partners team members include Senior Managing Director Kusnadi Pradinata (Ex-Credit Suisse Co-Head of Indonesia), Managing Director Suresh Dalai, Managing Director Tran Thu Trang (B Capital), Senior Director Sanskriti Sinha and Senior Director Lew Sook Fen. Growtheum Capital Partners portfolio includes Bank Allo (Digital Bank, Indonesia), AlloFresh (e-Grocery, Indonesia), IDP (Dairy manufacturer, Vietnam) and RS Mitra Plumbon (Hospital Group, Indonesia). Growtheum Capital Partners has a 19-person advisors panel, including Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala (Chairman, Ayala Corp), Le Thi Thu Thuy (Vice Chairwoman, Vingroup), Laurent Le Moal (Executive Team, Prosus) and Jennifer Lewis (Head, Temasek Foundation’s Philanthropy Advocates Practice).

Amit Kunal, Managing Partner
Amit is the Managing Partner at Growtheum Capital Partners. Previously, Amit was the Managing Director and Head of Direct Investment Group, Southeast Asia, at GIC where he led private equity investments in Southeast Asia. Amit was also a Investment Committee Member at GIC’s Private Equity group and co-led the ASEAN Business Group. Prior to GIC, he served as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Singapore and in New York. Amit obtained his MBA in Finance and Accounting from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University (Beta Gamma Sigma) and Bachelor of Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (First in Class).
Choo Koon Po, Partner
Koon Po is a Partner at Growtheum Capital Partners. He previously worked in the Direct Investment Group, Southeast Asia, at GIC Private Limited. He was also a member of the ASEAN Business Group. Prior to GIC, he was in the Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Singapore, where he worked on M&A, debt and equity capital transactions across sectors in Southeast Asia. Koon Po served as a Naval Combat Officer (NS) in the Maritime Security Task Force, achieving the rank of Lieutenant during NSF (National Service Full-time) and Captain during his NS (National Service). Koon Po graduated Magna Cum Laude in the Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) programme from Singapore Management University (SMU), majoring in Quantitative Finance and Finance.
