Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced the appointment of CFO Ng Yao Loong as Co-Head of Equities alongside Janice Kan, with the appointment to be effective by mid-2024. Ng Yao Loong has 20 years of financial industry experience including at Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and was an investment banker at Citigroup & Morgan Stanley. SGX: “Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) announces that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ng Yao Loong will transition to the position of Head of Equities by mid-2024 to provide dedicated leadership in the development of our securities market. He will be in this role with Janice Kan as co-head. In the meantime, the search for a new CFO is underway and Mr Ng will continue to serve as CFO until then.”

Singapore Exchange Appoints CFO Ng Yao Loong as Co-Head of Equities Alongside Janice Kan with Appointment to be Effective by Mid-2024

Mr Ng Yao Loong was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) with effect from 1 October 2020. As the CFO, Mr Ng is responsible for SGX Group’s finance related functions, including treasury, tax and investor relations, and workplace services. He also oversees corporate development, which includes corporate strategy and M&A, and the indices business functions. Mr Ng has extensive experience in financial markets and infrastructures. He was previously with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) where he spent more than seven years in senior positions, including Assistant Managing Director of the Development and International Group as well as Executive Director of the Markets Policy and Infrastructure Department and Financial Markets Strategy Department. Prior to MAS, Mr Ng was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in Singapore and Citigroup in Hong Kong and London. Mr Ng holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cambridge.
