British billionaire, Chairman of family office Tavistock Group & majority owner of Tottenham Hotspur football club Joe Lewis (Age 87) is requesting for no jail sentence, having admitted & pleaded guilty (January 2024) to passing insider information to his employees & lovers and to pay $50 million in penalty.  In February 2024, Citigroup has been reported to be ending business relationship with British billionaire, Chairman of family office Tavistock Group & majority owner of Tottenham Hotspur football club Joe Lewis (Age 86) after he admitted & pleaded guilty to passing insider information to his employees & lovers, with Joe Lewis to pay $50 million in penalty.  In 2023 July, Joe Lewis was charged in New York for insider trading & securities fraud (25/7/23), and had pleaded not guilty.  Joe Lewis sentence including possible prison time will be announced on 28th March 2024.  Joe Lewis has an estimated $6 billion personal fortune.  In 2022, Joe Lewis had transferred majority ownership of his holdings to the Lewis Family Trust.  At the age of 15, Joe Lewis helped his father to run Tavistock Banqueting (catering business).  When he took over the business, he expanded to selling luxury goods and operated a club, which were sold in 1979.  In the 1980s, he started trading in currencies and invested in companies.  Today,  Tavistock Group is an international private investment family office that is comprised of a trading operation and a portfolio of public investments and private companies.
