OCBC private banking subsidiary Bank of Singapore has fired around 40 employees, and investigated hundreds of employees (since 2023) for misuse of medical & dental benefits with claims limit of S$10,500 (Misused claims including for bird nest, skincare products, supplements, toothpaste & toothbrushes). Bank of Singapore disciplinary actions include termination, repayment of claims & cancellation of bonuses. The clinic name surfaced as Drs Thompson & Thomson at Raffles Place. From 10th November 2023, OCBC & Bank of Singapore had stopped reimbursing invoices from the named clinic. Bank of Singapore is a wholly-owned private banking subsidiary of OCBC, Southeast Asia’s second largest financial services group by assets.
