United States electric car maker Fisker Inc has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy (17/6/24) to restructure debt & sell assets.  In 2020, Fisker Inc had raised $1 billion at $2.9 billion valuation via a SPAC IPO (Special Purpose Acquisition Company, Initial Public Offering) on NYSE.  The SPAC (Spartan Energy Acquisition Corp) is backed by leading private equity firm Apollo Global Management.  Fisker Inc was founded in 2016 by Chairman & CEO Henrik Fisker, who is an ex-designer consultant for Tesla and was founder of Fisker Automotive which filed for bankruptcy in 2013.
