European venture capital firm Atomico has raised $1.24 billion for 2 new funds, 1) $754 million Atomico Growth VI to invest in Series B to pre-IPO and 2) $485 million Atomico Venture V early stage fund to invest in Series A & seed stage. Atomico was founded in 2006 by Skype founder Niklas Zennstrom, and has invested in 155 companies in 15 European countries. Atomico (9/9/24): “Today we announce our largest ever fundraise, totalling $1.24 billion. Our two new funds will support Europe’s most ambitious founders in their missions to rewire the world, better. Atomico was founded with the vision that exceptional companies can come from anywhere.
