United States asset manager T. Rowe Price ($1.6 trillion AUM) has launched a new United States mixed asset strategy fund (31/1/25) via Standard Chartered Funds Variable Capital Company (SC Funds VCC), providing Standard Chartered Bank HNW clients (AI / PI status) in Hong Kong & Singapore with exclusive access to T. Rowe Price $95 billion fund only available in the United States. The new SC Funds VCC targets to deliver equity-like returns with less risk than the S&P 500 Index via active allocation in United States equity & fixed income markets. Announcement (5/2/25): “T. Rowe Price, a leading global asset manager with US$1.67 trillion in assets under management, has expanded its partnership with Standard Chartered to introduce a new fund for the bank’s affluent clients in Singapore and Hong Kong through the Standard Chartered Funds Variable Capital Company (SC Funds VCC), leveraging T. Rowe Price’s renowned US mixed asset investment expertise. The new fund debuted on January 31, 2025, with T. Rowe Price serving as the sub-investment manager. It builds upon T. Rowe Price’s US$95 billion US mixed asset strategy, marking the first time in over a decade that new investors can access this capacity-constrained strategy, and the first time it is available outside the US. The fund is exclusively available to Standard Chartered’s high-net-worth clients, with Accredited/ Professional Investor status, in the Bank’s Priority, Priority Private and Private segments in Singapore, Hong Kong and UAE, with plans to further expand distribution efforts across other markets. It aims to deliver equity-like returns with less risk than the S&P 500 Index through active allocation across US equity and fixed income markets. Its experienced portfolio management team is led by David Giroux, who is a 6-time nominee and 2-time winner of Morningstar’s Fund Manager of the Year award in the allocation category.”
