European mid-market private equity firm Inflexion ($12 billion AUM) has hired ex-Rothschild Investment Banking Head (Asian Consumer Sector) & Evercore Head of APAC (Private Capital Advisory) Shane Gong as Managing Director in the Investor Relations team, and to open an office in Singapore. Announcement (April 2025): “Inflexion, a leading European mid-market private equity firm is delighted to announce the appointment of Shane Gong as a Managing Director in the Investor Relations team. Shane will lead investor coverage in the APAC region and is the latest in a series of senior Investor Relations appointments which have also included Sachin Mitra, Managing Director leading investor efforts in EMEA and Alec Cote, Director, focused on North American investors. Shane’s appointment will see Inflexion open an office in Singapore. Shane has over 20 years of PE capital raising, direct investing and M&A experience across Asia. Prior to Inflexion he spent five years as Managing Director and Head of Evercore’s APAC Private Capital Advisory group. Prior to this, he spent over a decade with Australian PE firm, CPE Capital (formerly CHAMP Private Equity) across investing and capital formation functions. Before CPE Capital, Shane worked in M&A advisory at Rothschild and Macquarie Group. Sachin brings over 15 years of Investor Relations experience. Prior to joining Inflexion, he was a Partner and Global Co-Head of Relationship Management at Aviditi Advisors, an independent alternative advisory firm that was acquired by Piper Sandler. Prior to this, he spent almost ten years with the Evercore Private Fund’s Group covering investors across the UK, Europe and Middle East. Prior to joining Inflexion, Alec was a Principal at the Carlyle Group where he spent nearly a decade focused on relationship management, product development, fund formation and marketing strategy across Carlyle’s investment platform.”
