Goldman Sachs Vice-Chair & CEO International Richard Gnodde is relocating from UK London to Italy Milan. Richard Gnodde joined Goldman Sachs 38 years ago in 1987, was appointed as President of Goldman Sachs Singapore & Co-Head of Investment Banking Asia in 1999, and appointed as Co-CEO of Goldman Sachs International in 2006. In 2025 April, UK billionaires & real estate siblings Ian Livingstone & Richard Livingstone with $8 billion fortune have changed their residencies from UK to Monaco between 2025 March & April. In 2025 April, billionaire, Egypt richest man & UK resident Nassef Sawiris (Age 64) with $10 billion fortune is exiting the UK due to end of UK tax benefits for non-domiciled residents and is currently a resident of Italy. In 2023, Nassef Sawiris announced to relocate his family office NNS Group to Abu Dhabi. In 2025 April, UK-based billionaire & Chairman of the world’s 2nd largest steel maker ArcelorMittal ($22 billion market value) Lakshmi Mittal with $18 billion fortune is considering to leave UK with the end of UK tax benefits for non-domiciled residents. Lakshmi Mittal relocated to UK in 1995. Richard Gnodde is Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs International. His leadership responsibilities cover all of the firm’s businesses outside of North America. He has been a member of the Management Committee since 2003 and also serves on the Firmwide Reputational Risk Committee and Chairs the European Management Committee. He served on the firm’s Partnership Committee from 1999 to 2004. Mr. Gnodde joined Goldman Sachs in London in 1987 in the merger department. He was appointed Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division (IBD) in Japan in 1997. He became President of Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte. and Co-Head of Investment Banking in Asia in 1999 before moving to Hong Kong that same year to become President of Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC. He played a leading role in expanding the firm’s overall Asian footprint, including securing access to China’s Securities markets. In 2005, he returned to London and became Co-Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs International in 2006. From 2011 to 2017 he served as Co-Head of IBD. Mr. Gnodde was named Managing Director in 1996 and Partner in 1998. Mr. Gnodde serves as a trustee of the University of Cape Town Trust and The Foundation and Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He also serves on the Campaign Board of Cambridge University and is a member of the Alzheimer’s Research UK Pioneers’ Circle.
