China businessman Ai Shaoyuan has been reported to have been arrested in Vietnam for $165 million investment fraud. In 2024, China private equity firm Youce Investment reported $1.7 billion funds missing from account in China Chang’an Bank. Youce Investment key shareholder is Xiushi Investment, which was facing liquidity crisis. Related companies to Xiushi Investment include Ai Shaoyuan’s Xianhua Holdings & listed company ST Busen. Xiushi Investment controller Huang Wei had been reported to have fled China.
