United States Secretary of Commerce & billionaire Howard Lutnick with $3.2 billion fortune has transferred share ownership of brokerage & investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald to trusts (Beneficiaries 2 eldest sons Brandon & Kyle), and selling $361 million of shares in BGC (Brokerage & financial technology company, previously part of Cantor Fitzgerald, $4.9 billion market value) & Newmark (Commercial real restate advisor & service provider, $2.1 billion market value). Howard Lutnick is ex-Chairman, President & CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, ex-Chairman & CEO of BGC, ex-Chairman of Newmark. The transactions are to divest his ownership, voting & economic interest to comply with the United States Government ethics agreement. Howard Lutnick was appointed as United States Secretary of Commerce on 21st February 2025.
