UBS public charity UBS Optimus Foundation has expanded the programs in United States providing clients tax-advantaged giving opportunities via United States-based programs in education, health, environment, emergency response & resilience. UBS covers all administrative costs of UBS Optimus Foundation ensuring 100% of donations are channeled to support the programs, and with UBS providing a 10% match on client & employee donations. The UBS Optimus Foundation now also accepts Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from IRAs as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs). Announcement (16/6/25): “UBS today announced the expansion of the UBS Optimus Foundation offering in the US. The foundation, a client-facing giving platform that supports clients’ philanthropic goals through flexible, tax-advantaged giving solutions now provides access to an expanded portfolio of programs across the United States in addition to the full portfolio of existing global programs. Clients can support a suite of national-scale programs, sourced and vetted by a team of dedicated philanthropic experts, that advance solutions across education, health, the environment, and emergency response and resilience. The UBS Optimus Foundation continues to expand its US portfolio and now has 15 nonprofit partners on the front lines of the country’s most pressing challenges. UBS covers all administrative costs of the Foundation, ensuring 100% of each donation received supports the Foundation’s programs and mission. UBS will also provide up to a 10% match on client and employee donations to both incentivize and magnify the impact of giving (subject to availability). As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, the UBS Optimus Foundation US provides enhanced capabilities for clients, including now being able to accept Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from IRAs as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs).”
