Malaysia billionaire Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary with $2.3 billion fortune, is the largest shareholder of MMC Port Holdings. In 2024 October, MMC Port Holdings was reported to be planning for an IPO to raise $1.6 billion (MYR 7 billion) at $6.2 billion valuation (MYR 27 billion).
