Ireland-based Dalata Hotel Group has accepted the improved $1.6 billion (€1.4 billion) buyout offer from previous $1.5 billion buyout proposal by property groups Pandox (Sweden) and Eiendomsspar (Norway).  In 2025 June, Ireland-based Dalata Hotel Group rejected the $1.5 billion buyout proposal from property groups Pandox (Sweden) and Eiendomsspar (Norway) for undervaluing the company.  Dalata Hotel Group operates hotels in Ireland, UK, Germany & Netherlands under the brands Maldron Hotels & Clayton Hotels.  Dalata – At Dalata, we bring the heart of hospitality to every hotel we own and operate. Pandox’s main geographical focus is Northern Europe. UK (24 percent) is Pandox’s single largest geographical market, measured as a percentage of the property portfolio’s total market value, followed by Sweden (22 percent), Germany (22 percent), Belgium (8 percent) and Finland (6 percent).  The total market value of the portfolio is approximately SEK 75 billion.  Eiendomsspar (Translated) – Eiendomsspar is one of Norway’s leading real estate companies, and has more than 40 years of experience in the industry. The company consists of dedicated and committed employees, who together have expertise that covers all areas of property management and development.  Our business idea is to develop and refine properties for rental. High quality of the properties, prime location and an operating philosophy based on service and professionalism have given Eiendomsspar a strong position in the real estate market. The tenants are our customers and most important partners. We are therefore committed to active and close cooperation with our tenants.  Eiendomsspar itself and through its ownership in the hotel property company Pandox AB has expertise and presence in most segments of the real estate market. The company has particularly extensive expertise in offices and retail in the Oslo region, as well as hotels in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Eiendomsspar also has experience and expertise as an owner and developer of housing and warehouses in the Oslo region, as well as as an investor in office properties in Northern Europe in general.
