China home furnishing retailer Easyhome New Retail Group ($2.7 billion market value) Chairman & CEO Wang Linpeng has died at age 57 (27/7/25) by suicide after jumping from the attic of his home in Beijing.  In 2025 April, Wang Linpeng was placed under investigation (Detention) and released in 2025 July.  Easyhome New Retail Group was founded in 1990 with Wang Linpeng appointed as Beijing Easyhome Investment Holding Group in 1999.  In 2001, Wang Linpeng acquired key shareholding, and became a majority shareholder in 2015.  Wang Linpeng is a billionaire with $1.7 billion fortune.
