Hong Kong billionaire Edwin Leong Siu Hung (Age 73) with $3 billion fortune property investment group Tai Hung Fai Enterprise has received a $114 million (HKD 900 million) 2-year loan facility for a 30-storey office tower project in Hong Kong Island from Hong Kong-based credit & special situations investment management firm Dignari Capital Partners. Tai Hung Fai Enterprise was founded in 1977 by Edwin Leong. Tai Hung Fai Charitable Foundation was setup in 2013. Tai Hung Fai Enterprise – Tai Hung Fai Enterprise Co. Ltd. (“THF”) was first established in 1977 by Dr. Edwin Leong Siu Hung as a diversified investment company. Under the leadership of Dr. Leong, THF has evolved into a property developer with investments in an extensive portfolio of hotels, serviced apartments, retail shops, residential buildings, office buildings and industrial buildings. As a Hong Kong based developer, THF has been actively participating in Hong Kong’s urban redevelopment. Examples of redevelopment projects include 1001 King’s Road, Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Mongkok, Kadoorie Lookout and Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island. THF has also initiated a number of projects on heritage conservation and revitalization with the aim of making Hong Kong an even better place to live. One of these projects is the conservation of a Grade III heritage building located at 179 Prince Edward Road West. This project features a 50-room hotel and an exhibition space to introduce the history of the neighborhood. Tai Hung Fai Charitable Foundation – We do believe that being successful comes with a great responsibility to provide for the others. Over the years, THF has been engaging in many charitable initiatives to address the pressing needs of the community.
