The Hong Kong Insurance Authority (HKIA) has been reported to be leading a drive on insurer & pension funds to move investment roles back to Hong Kong after recent years of relocation to Singapore (Including for tax incentives).  In 2021, AIA Group setup a Variable Capital Company (VCC) in Singapore.  Singapore-based AIA Investment Management has $139 billion AUM (AIA Group $255 billion AUM).
