Singapore 2nd richest billionaire with $13 billion fortune Goh Cheng Liang has died at age 98 (12/8/25).  Goh Cheng Liang founded Wuthelam Group in 1974, and has businesses in paint & real estate.  Goh Cheng Liang was appointed as the main Singapore distributor for Nippon Paint (12/8/25: $18.7 billion market value) in 1962, and became majority shareholder of Nippon Paint in 2020.  Goh Foundation was setup in 1995 for philanthropy activities.  Goh Cheng Liang has 3 children (Goh Hup Jin, Goh Chuen Jin & Goh Chiat Jin), 8 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild.  Goh Hup Jin is the current Chairman of Nippon Paint Holdings.  Nippon Paint Holdings & Wuthelam Group – Nippon Paint Holdings and the Wuthelam Group have steadily deepened and broadened our partnership since we established the Asian Joint Ventures (NIPSEA business) in 1962. This strategic partnership elevated Nippon Paint to a dominant brand in Asia and was further substantiated in January 2021 with NPHD’s acquisition of 100% ownership of the Asian JV.
