United States private equity firm GTCR ($50 billion AUM) has announced to buy European & Czech pharmaceutical company Zentiva for $4.8 billion (€4.1 billion) from private equity firm Advent ($100 billion AUM), which was acquired from Sanofi in 2018. Zentiva – Zentiva provides health and wellbeing for all generations, with focus on developing, producing, and delivering high-quality, affordable medicines to more than 100 million people in over 30 countries across Europe and beyond. Zentiva has four wholly-owned manufacturing sites and a broad network of external manufacturing partners to ensure supply security.
