Hong Kong insurance group FWD has announced senior leadership changes (Effective 1/1/26) with 1) Candy Goh Chief Financial Officer (CFO) portfolio expands to include Legal function, 2) Henry Chua Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role expands to Chief Technology & Operating Officer (CTOO), 3) Emily Wong appointed as Deputy COO for FWD Hong Kong and 4) Alvin Soh appointed as Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer for FWD Singapore. Announcement (11/12/25): “FWD Singapore has announced an enhanced leadership structure to support the company’s next phase of growth, as it enters its 10th year of operations in 2026. The company is strengthening adviser enablement, cross-functional alignment and speed-to-market by introducing the following leadership changes effective 1 January 2026: Candy Goh expands her role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Candy Goh’s portfolio as Chief Financial Officer will be expanded to include oversight of the Legal function in addition to her current responsibilities for the finance, actuarial and data analytics function, thereby further enhancing governance and alignment across functions to achieve the company’s business goals. Henry Chua expands his role as Chief Technology & Operating Officer (CTOO) – Henry Chua will expand his current remit as Chief Technology Officer to take on the role of Chief Technology & Operating Officer. Henry has led the development of FWD Singapore’s digital ecosystem and modern technology infrastructure, enabling the organisation to scale with stronger execution and digital capability. With more than 20 years of regional and Singapore-based experience in technology and operations across the insurance industry, he brings deep expertise in transformation and operational excellence. Before joining FWD, he led the IT function for a multinational insurer, delivering its enterprise- wide technology roadmap. In tandem, Emily Wong, current Chief Operating Officer, will take on a new role as Deputy COO for FWD’s business in Hong Kong, which is among the largest markets for FWD Group. Alvin Soh appointed Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer (CDMO) – Alvin Soh is appointed Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer for FWD Singapore. He will oversee the Financial Advisory, Bancassurance and Digital Commerce channels, together with the Product, Brand and Marketing functions. Alvin is a qualified actuary with more than 15 years of experience in the insurance sector, bringing a strong combination of distribution management, mergers and acquisitions, and financial stewardship across Southeast Asia. His experience is grounded in hands-on agency and FA development in the Singapore market. Prior to this appointment, he played an instrumental role at FWD Group Office in driving distribution expansion and acquisitions across the region, and also served as Interim Chief Financial Officer for FWD Singapore over the past six months. Driving momentum into 2026 – With its refreshed leadership structure, FWD Singapore will prioritise strengthening adviser and partner enablement across the FA, bancassurance and high-net-worth channels. The company will accelerate coordinated product development and campaign launches, supported by enhanced digital capabilities and a more integrated operating model.”
