Europe private equity group EQT ($314 billion AUM) has announced to buy a 42% stake in UK water company Kelda Holdings (Yorkshire Water) with $13.4 billion (£10 billion) Regulatory Capital Value.  Singapore GIC will also increase stake to 42% from current 30%, and Australia TCorp (NSW Government) will increase stake to 16% from current near-13% stake. Yorkshire Water – Yorkshire Water provides essential water and wastewater services to the Yorkshire region, and plays a key role in the region’s health, wellbeing, and prosperity. Yorkshire Water serves over 5 million customers, and the millions of people who visit Yorkshire each year. 140,000 businesses also depend upon the water they supply and the wastewater they take away to provide goods and services that support the economy – not only in Yorkshire, but across the United Kingdom and beyond.
