Hong Kong property agency Centaline Group (Centaline Strategic Investments via Blue Sky Properties) has bought the Hong Kong 17-storey 494-room Regal Oriental Hotel in Kowloon City for $194 million (HKD 1.52 billion) from Hong Kong-listed Regal Hotels International Holdings ($60 million market value).  Centaline Group plans to convert the hotel into a student hostel.  Centaline – Centaline Property Agency Limited was established in 1978. It was once a tiny company with only a few branches on Hong Kong Island. After 40-year development, “Centaline Property” is now a renowned property agency brand in Hong Kong and China. The number of branches has reached 2,000 across China including 400 in Hong Kong.  Centaline Property provides real estate agency services in the sectors of residential properties, commercial properties, private lands, and car park spaces, both in new development and second-hand markets. Besides, there are professional and value-added services including surveying, valuation, real estate tender, auction, property mergers and acquisitions, mortgage broking and immigration/ emigration consultancy, etc. in order to provide customers with one-stop agency services.  Centaline Property also introduces real estate developments of other countries and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to Hong Kong customers, which provides them with more investment opportunities.
