China high-tech battery company Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group has filed for a Hong Kong IPO.Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group pre-IPO valuation was reported at $3.8 billion. Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group was founded in 2016 by Nan Cewen.Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group investors include SAIC Motor, BAIC Capital, GAC Capital & Bank of China.Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group – Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group Qingtao (Kunshan) Energy Development Group Co.,Ltd. was founded in 2016, headquartered in Kunshan, Suzhou. It is a high-tech enterprise led by the team of Nan Cewen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at Tsinghua University. It has taken the lead in the industrialization of solid-state batteries and established a large-scale production line for solid-state lithium batteries. Qingtao Energy has applied for more than 1300 national patents, half of which are invention patents, and more than 800 have been authorized. Qingtao Energy has successively received strategic investments from institutions such as SAIC, BAIC, GAC, Bank Of China Investment and Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation, with a current valuation of over 20 billion yuan. Qingtao Energy has been listed for the Forbes China High Growth Gazelle List and has developed into “Global Unicorn Enterprise”. Several subsidiaries have been awarded “National High-tech Enterprises”, “Jiangsu Province’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Teams” and other honorary titles.
