Romania Billionaire Dan Petrescu Dies in Private Jet Crash Near Milan in Italy

Romanian billionaire Dan Petrescu with a personal fortune of more than $3 billion, has died in his private jet crash near Milan (Italy) on the 3rd of October (Sunday). The single-engine Pilatus PC-12 bought in 2015, had taken off from Milan’s Linate airport to Olbia in the north of the Italian island of Sardinia, crashing minutes after takeoff in San Donato Milanese, a town southeast of Milan (Italy). The flight was carrying 8 people who had all died in the crash, including Dan Petrescu (68), his wife (65, French nationality) and son. According to Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, the family was headed to their villa in Olbia, where Petrescu’s elderly mother was waiting for them.
