Malaysia Businessman John Soh & Girlfriend Quah Su-Ling Found Guilty by Singapore Court of 2013 $8 Billion Penny Stocks Market Manipulation, Blumont, Asiasons Capital & LionGold

Malaysian businessman John Soh Chee Wen and girlfriend Quah Su-Ling had been found guilty by Singapore high court of the 2013 $8 billion penny stocks market manipulation, by driving up stock prices of Blumont, Asiasons Capital and LionGold Corp through 189 trading accounts in 20 financial institutions.  Through 60 individuals and companies, they controlled, financed, traded and drove stock prices in Blumont, Asiasons Capital and LionGold Corp from $80 million to more than $8 billion in market value in less than 1 year.  In 2013, the penny stock crash of the 3 stocks wiped out almost all $8 billion market value.  In 2014, Singapore Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) launched an investigation into suspected market manipulation of Blumont, Asiasons Capital and LionGold Corp, thereby breaching the Securities and Futures Act (SFA).   In 2019, Goh Hin Calm who had conspired with John Soh and Quah Su-Ling pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to 3 years in jail.  The sentencing will be made on another day both for John Soh (in remand) and Quah Su-Ling (on bail).
