Billionaire & founder of hedge fund Moore Capital Management Louis Bacon has been awarded $203 million (New York Court) in a defamation lawsuit against Canadian fashion entrepreneur Peter Nygard who is in jail awaiting trial on sexual assault. Peter Nygard had launched a $15 million global smear campaign over 10 years claiming Louis Bacon was a Ku Klux Klan member, guilty of insider trading, and involved in death of an employee & arson. Their feud started more than 10 years ago including loud parties by Peter Nygard in Bahamas Island (Lyford Cay community on Clifton Bay), and Louis Bacon disrupting Peter Nygard’s property redevelopment plans. Peter Nygard businesses are currently in bankruptcy. Louis Bacon had suffered “personal humiliation & mental anguish”, with his children afraid to sleep in his bed, refrained from attending charitable events or his house in Bahamas Island. Billionaire & founder of hedge fund Moore Capital Management Louis Bacon is estimated to have a personal fortune of around $1.6 billion to $2 billion.
