HSBC has appointed Lavanya Chari as HSBC Head of Wealth & Premier Solutions to deliver innovative products, platforms & propositions to HSBC International Wealth & Premier Banking clients. Lavanya Chari joined HSBC in 2020 as Global Head of Investments & Wealth Solutions, and was at Deutsche Bank for more than 17 years holding senior roles including as Head of Global Products & Solutions for Wealth Management and Global Head of Commodities Asset Structuring in Singapore & London. In 2025 January, HSBC hired Citi 21-year veteran Jil Chin as Head of International Wealth Hub for Singapore to drive HSBC offshore business. Jin Chin was with Citibank for more than 21 years, and held senior leadership roles as Citigold Private Client & Citigold Sales Head for Wealth Management Retail Banking and Head of Direct Sales for Cards & Personal Loans. Jil Chin will report to Ashmita Acharya, HSBC Singapore Head of International Wealth & Premier Banking. In 2024 October, HSBC appointed famous actor Tony Leung Chiu-wai as ambassador for HSBC new wealth program (“Wealth. Growing at every stage”). HSBC has more than 5 million customers in Hong Kong. HSBC Wealth & Personal Banking integrates services for clients to access wealth management & investment solutions via HSBC Retail, Wealth, Private Banking, Insurance and Asset Management. HSBC Global Private Banking has more than 650 experts globally. In 2024 June, HSBC hired Standard Chartered Bank Jean Nabaa as HSBC Global Private Banking & Wealth COO (16/9/24), joining from Standard Chartered Bank where he last held the role of COO for Standard Chartered Bank Wealth & Retail Banking (Joined Standard Chartered Bank from Merrill Lynch in 2014). Jean Nabaa will relocate from Singapore to Hong Kong in his new role.
