Italy financial group Mediobanca has made a $7 billion (€ 6.3 billion) offer to buy Italy private bank Banca Generali, funded by selling shares in Assicurazioni Generali for $7 billion. Banca Generali – Banca Generali is a private bank specialized in the protection of assets and in supporting the planning of family life projects. The company stands out in the industry for the excellence of its network of financial advisors, innovation orientation, and uniqueness in offering investment solutions and wealth management services. Banca Generali has its headquarters in Milan and Trieste. The branches are distributed evenly throughout the Italian territory. Mediobanca – The Mediobanca group is a premier specialized financial group offering Wealth Management, Consumer Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking services. Its impeccable reputation in Italy is the result of nearly eight decades of success driven by a responsible approach to business and services that meet the highest standards of excellence. History – Founded in 1946 to support the Italian post-WWII reconstruction efforts, Mediobanca has always understood the needs of the country, launching the first Italian consumer credit company, the first multichannel digital bank, and now, the first synergies between corporate banking and private banking.
