United States asset manager Fidelity International ($900 billion AUM) has hired ex-Harvest Global Investments CEO James Sun as General Manager in China (FIL Fund Management China). James Sun has more than 27 years of financial industry experience at Tradeweb (Head of Asia), Charles Schwab (17 years) & Harvest Global Investments (CEO & Board Director) in New York, London, Hong Kong & Shanghai. In 2025 January, Fidelity International launched a new multi-asset public fund of funds in China providing investors with stable returns. The new fund Fidelity Renyuan Stable 3-Month Holding Period Hybrid FOF raised $117 million from individual investors in China in 8 days. Earlier in 2025 January, Fidelity International appointed Wildon Goh as Head of Southeast Asia & Country Head of Singapore (Pending regulatory approval) succeeding Sabrina Gan who departed in 2024 December, and appointing Jonathan Leong as Head of Wholesale for Southeast Asia & Adin Tan as Head of Private Banking Hong Kong & Singapore. Wildon Goh has more than 17 years of asset & wealth management experience at Fidelity (9 years), BlackRock, Citi & HSBC. In his new role, Wildon Goh reports to Damien Mooney (Managing Director APAC ex-Japan). In 2024 October, Fidelity International hired BlackRock 12-year veteran Damien Mooney as Managing Director APAC ex-Japan, succeeding Rajeev Mittal who is leaving after 6 years at Fidelity International. Damien Mooney was previously Fidelity International Head of Marketing APAC for 8 years between 2003 to 2011.
