Ferrari Daytona SP3 (Serial No. 599+1)

21st August – Ferrari limited edition Ferrari Daytona SP3 (Serial No. 599+1) has been sold for $26 million in auction by RM Sotheby’s, with all proceeds donated to public education & community charity The Ferrari FoundationAnnouncement (17/8/25): “All proceeds from the one-of-one 2025 Tailor Made Ferrari Daytona SP3 sale to benefit The Ferrari Foundation in support of global educational initiatives. Ferrari, in partnership with RM Sotheby’s at Monterey, California, has set a new world record as a one-of-one 2025 Tailor Made Ferrari Daytona SP3 sold for $US 26 million, becoming the highest-priced new Ferrari ever sold at auction. Commissioned as an additional example beyond the original 599-unit limited-series production run, the car features a striking exposed carbon fibre and Giallo Modena livery with the first ever full-length Ferrari logotype applied across the body. The interior is finished in Q-Cycle, a sustainable fabric made from recycled tyre material and includes yellow seatbelts and embroidered Prancing Horse motifs.  All proceeds from the record-breaking sale will benefit The Ferrari Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to advancing educational programmes and community projects worldwide.”  In 2025 April, Ferrari announced the launch of a special version hybrid spider Ferrari 296 GTS with top speed of 330 km/h, and 2.8 seconds to reach 100 km/h.  Ferrari 296 Speciale Coupé price starts at €407,000 ($462,000), and Ferrari Speciale A Convertible price starts at €462,000 ($525,000).  In 2024, 40% of new Ferrari buyers are below age 40.  In 2025 February, Ferrari (17/3/25: $88 billion market value) reported selling 13,725 cars in 2024 (+0.7%), with 6,204 Ferraris sold in EMEA, 4,003 sold in Americas & 3,545 sold in APAC.  For 2024, Ferrari reported $6.9 billion revenue & $1.5 billion net profit.  Ferrari share price is +9% YTD, +27% in the last 12 months & +191% in the last 5 years.  Ferrari has a current market value of $89 billion (2025 February).  In 2024 October, Ferrari launched the first Hypercar Ferrari F80 with price starting from $3.9 million, and only 799 units are available for sale equivalent to over $3.1 billion in total sale value

Ferrari Daytona SP3 – Launched in 2018, the Ferrari Icona Series offers limited-production vehicles blending advanced engineering with design rooted in the marque’s most celebrated racing cars—all offered exclusively to Ferrari’s most devoted clients. The Icona Series debuted with the Monza SP1 and SP2. Both were traditional barchetta designs inspired by open-cockpit Ferrari racecars of the 1950s, such as the 166 MM and 750 Monza. With their very pure design and front-mounted V-12/rear-wheel-drive configuration, the SP1 and SP2 were fully modern while evoking the raw mechanical emotion of 1950s sports car racing.  In 2021, Ferrari introduced the highly anticipated third addition to the Icona Series, the Ferrari Daytona SP3. The SP3 marked the series’ first closed-body design, with a form derived from the marque’s legendary endurance Sport Prototypes of the 1960s—perhaps most obviously, the 330 P3/4. These cars helped define a Golden Era for Ferrari, particularly with Ferrari’s storied 1-2-3 sweep at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona.  The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is powered by a naturally aspirated mid-mounted 6.5-liter V-12 producing a massive 829 horsepower without the aid of a hybrid system. The engine is equipped with a quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The SP3’s aerodynamics focus on maximizing efficiency through passive solutions, avoiding the need for active aero devices. Features such as “chimneys” that extract low-pressure air from the underbody made the SP3 the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari ever built when the car was launched. The impressive powertrain and slippery aerodynamic design allow the SP3 to sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds, while 0–200 km/h arrives in a shocking 7.4 seconds.

599+1 – The Ferrari Daytona SP3 was limited to just 599 standard production units worldwide, and each example was spoken for by one of Ferrari’s most dedicated VIP clients before production even began. As this car’s serial number, 599+1, suggests, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 offered here adds just one more chassis to this exclusive, sold-out production run. And it does so in spectacular fashion, featuring bespoke detailing throughout its unique specifications developed by the Ferrari Tailor Made team.  This one-of-a-kind US-specification SP3 presents a striking visual identity, combining a vibrant two-tone exposed carbon fiber and Giallo Modena livery with glossy black carbon-composite elements—on the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser—creating a dramatic contrast. Most notably, the use of a full-length Ferrari logotype livery stretching from the front to the back of the car marks a first in Ferrari road car history. The SP3 rides on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged diamond rims with brake calipers finished in Giallo Modena.  Inside, this Ferrari Daytona SP3’s bespoke appointments from Ferrari Tailor Made continue to break new ground, with cutting-edge Q-Cycle fabric upholstery developed from recycled tires. The upholstery is accented nicely by colored seatbelts and the Prancing Horse motif stitched into each headrest, all in yellow. The instrument binnacle and steering column feature a checkered flag motif crafted from a specialized carbon fiber used by Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One, reinforcing the car’s direct link to Ferrari’s unrivaled motorsport heritage. The steering wheel is trimmed in Alcantara with standard color stitching with aluminum-painted F1-style paddle shifters. This singular SP3 will carry the designation “599+1” and include an individualized silver plaque attesting to its exclusive status.  This unique opportunity to acquire this final SP3 benefits a wonderful cause. All proceeds from the car’s auction will benefit The Ferrari Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity recognized by the IRS, for future educational initiatives. Their most recent project has been a collaboration with Save the Children, whereby Ferrari made a significant contribution to help rebuild the Aveson Charter School in Altadena, California, whose campus was tragically destroyed by the Eaton Wildfire earlier this year.  Fittingly, this special car is paired with noteworthy accompanying items. Chief among these is the Maranello Clutch: a one-of-a-kind carbon clutch inspired by Ferrari silhouettes, featuring an adjustable chain strap and a Giallo Modena Q-cycle ultra-suede lining, the same fabric used in the interior of the car. Additionally, an official Ferrari window sticker, owner’s manual and warranty book, tool kit, battery conditioner, and cover kit are all included with this SP3.  With all Ferrari Daytona SP3 examples spoken for, this special car represents an unparalleled opportunity to acquire the latest, sold-out Icona Series model, immediately joining the exclusive ranks of top-tier modern Ferrari ownership. This Ferrari Daytona SP3’s bespoke Tailor Made interior appointments and first use of Ferrari’s classic logotype in the exterior finish underscore its status as a Ferrari icon and ensures that this breathtaking supercar will be celebrated for years to come.  This truly is a Ferrari that does justice to the exclusive Icona Series concept—and an unrepeatable opportunity for a dedicated tifoso that is simply not to be missed.

Ferrari Launches First Hypercar Ferrari F80 with Price Starting from $3.9 Million, Only 799 Units are Available for Sale Equivalent to $3.1 Billion in Total Sale Value, Ferrari Market Value at $92 Billion

19th October 2024 – Ferrari launches first Hypercar Ferrari F80 with price starting from $3.9 million, and only 799 units are available for sale equivalent to over $3.1 billion in total sale value.  Ferrari current market value is around $92 billionFerrari (17/10/24): “Ferrari today unveiled the F80 and wrote a new chapter in the history of legendary supercars bearing the Prancing Horse badge. The F80 will be produced in a limited run of just 799 examples and joins the pantheon of icons such as the GTO, F40 and LaFerrari by showcasing the best that the Maranello-based marque has achieved in terms of technology and performance.  Ever since 1984, Ferrari has periodically released a new supercar that represented the pinnacle of cutting-edge technology and innovation of its era and that was destined to become enshrined in popular culture. Intended for the most discerning clients of the brand, these cars immediately became legends in their own lifetime, making an indelible mark not only on the history of Ferrari, but on the history of the automobile itself.  The latest addition to this family, the F80, is tasked with embodying the ultimate in engineering for an internal-combustion-engined vehicle and employs all the most advanced technological solutions, including latest-generation hybrid technology for the powertrain, to achieve unparalleled levels of power and torque. Every aspect of the architecture is conceived to maximise performance, from the carbon-fibre chassis and extreme aerodynamic solutions far beyond anything seen before in a road-legal car, to the new active suspension optimised to let the driver wring every ounce of performance from the car on the track.  Unlike anything else in the current supercar world, the F80 combines all these attributes with uncompromising levels of usability on the road, where it can be driven with ease. This ability shaped every choice made in terms of technology and architecture to achieve the goal, which at first sight seems impossible, of creating a track-oriented supercar that’s just as driveable as a production range model.  All this means that the driver will spend even more time in the car and can truly get to know and revel in its performance and the thrilling driving experience it offers. The architecture of the F80 is so extreme that the layout chosen results in a narrower cabin with a driver-centric layout, which nonetheless still offers excellent space and comfort for a passenger. This choice had crucial benefits in terms of minimising drag and weight.  The cockpit area therefore has a distinct single-seater feel, despite the fact that the car is homologated for two occupants, resulting in a architecture that we could call “1+”. The primary reason for this choice was to minimise width, to the benefit of aerodynamics (with less drag) and weight saving. This concept is completely in keeping with the motorsport world from which this car not only draws inspiration but also inherits technological solutions.  As has always been the case with the Ferrari supercars preceding the F80, the powertrain is based on the finest expression of technology in motorsport. The GTO and F40 were powered by a turbo V8, because Formula 1 cars used turbocharged engines in the 1980s. Today in both Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship (WEC), powertrains consist of turbo V6 ICE engines mated with an 800 V hybrid system. It was only natural then that this architecture – the same architecture used by the 499P, which has taken two consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans – would be transferred into the new F80.  Here though the powertrain is further complemented by the introduction, for the first time ever on a Ferrari, of electric turbo technology (e-turbo), which, with an electric motor installed between the turbine and compressor of each turbo, allows for an extraordinary specific power output and instantaneous response from low down in the rev range.  Aerodynamics play a key role on the F80, with solutions such as the active rear wing, rear diffuser, flat underbody, front triplane wing and S-Duct working in concert to generate 1000 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. This result is further enhanced thanks to the active suspension, which contributes directly to generating ground effect. Performance is boosted by the electric front axle, which brings four-wheel drive capability to make even more effective use of the torque and power on tap, and the new brakes with motorsports-derived CCM-R Plus technology.  As with all the supercars preceding it, the F80 marks the start of a new design era for Ferrari, with a more tense, extreme design language accentuating its race-bred soul. There are clear references to cues borrowed from aerospace, which underscore the cutting-edge technology and elegant engineering of each and every technical solution. But there are also nods to its hallowed progenitors which clearly declare the illustrious lineage of the F80.”
