Japan Mizuho Financial Group ($80 billion market value) brokerage Mizuho Securities is increasing focus on HNW (High net worth) clients with more than $3.3 million (JPY 500 million) assets. In 2025 October, Japan Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) with $190 billion market value was reported to be hiring more bankers for the wealth management business, targeting at clients with at least $2 million assets. MUFG has around 300,000 account holders with more than $2 million assets.
