Leading private equity firm Apollo Capital Management ($840 billion AUM) has invested for a minority equity in life insurance brokerage firm Charles Monat Associates, which was founded in 1971 by Charles S. Monat and management completed a buyout in 2017 from Willis Towers Watson. Announcement (17/10/25): Charles Monat Associates (“CMA”) announces today that it has secured a strategic minority equity investment led by Apollo-managed funds and affiliates associated with its hybrid strategies (the “Apollo Funds”) to accelerate its global growth. The investment in Charles Monat Associates reinforces the firm’s long-term strategy and market potential as a strong growth business with its dedicated client-focus model. This is set to position Apollo’s hybrid business as a growth partner – no changes will be made to the control, governance or branding of Charles Monat Associates, and the current management team will continue to lead the business … … The investment reflects both companies’ confidence in creating opportunities through targeted growth initiatives, driven by strong leaderships and long-term strategic solutions – such as the deployment of advanced technologies and automation. With an estimate of US$124 trillion in global wealth expected to be transferred by 2048 – including US$105 trillion to heirs and nearly US$19 trillion to charities, according to a recent report by Cerulli Associates and the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), a large portion of wealth is in motion and expected to shift across generations.”
