Canada $100 billion pension fund OMERS (Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System) is cutting the Asia private equity team (2025 December). In 2025 August, OMERS reported +2.2% return in 2025 1H, and +8.7% annual return in the last 5 years. Portfolio Allocation – Government Bonds 10%, Public Credit 14%, Private Credit 13%, Public Equities 19%, Private Equities 19%, Infrastructure 22%, Real Estate 15%, Cash & Funding -12%. Geographical Allocation – Canada 16%, United States 55%, Europe 18%, APAC & Rest of the World 11%. OMERS – OMERS is a jointly sponsored, defined benefit pension plan, with more than 1,000 participating employers ranging from large cities to local agencies, and 640,000 active, deferred and retired members.
