South Korea National Pension Service (NPS) with $1 trillion AUM has appointed ex-National Assembly MemberKim Sung-joo as the 19th President (15/12/25) for a 3-year term.Kim Sung-joo is 16th President of National Pension Service (NPS) from 2017 to 2020.Announcement (12/12/25): “The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW, Minister Jeong Eun-kyeong) announced on Friday, December 12 that former National Assembly Member Kim Sung-joo has been appointed as the 19th President of the National Pension Service (NPS).His appointment was finalized following the recommendation of the NPS Executive Recommendation Committee, the nomination by the Minister of Health and Welfare, and the approval of the President. Kim will officially assume office on Monday, December 15.The President of the NPS serves a three-year term* and is responsible for representing the institution and overseeing all organizational operations.Term: December 15, 2025 – December 14, 2028.Born in 1964, Kim Sung-joo served as a member of the 19th and 21st National Assembly, where he worked on the Health and Welfare Committee. He also previously served as the 16th President of the National Pension Service from November 2017 to January 2020.”
