Ex-Credit Suisse (UBS) Singapore private banker (Vice President) Soh Yuan-Yi (Age 50) has been sentenced to 13-year jail term for forgery & fraud, transferring $12.3 million (S$9.16 million) from clients accounts (2006 to 2013) resulting in Credit Suisse paying $11.1 million (S$14.35 million) compensation to clients.  Soh Yuan-Yi has paid S$3.3 million to Credit Suisse but still gained more than S$2 million.  Soh Yuan-Yi had forged more than 112 instructions from 15 clients (22 Credit Suisse bank accounts), with majority of withdrawals to bank accounts under her control (Mother & husband) or other client accounts.  The forgery & fraud include 1) Buying landed property for S$1.37 million in 2007 using forged instructions to issue S$110,000 cheques & 2) Transferring property to another client as free gift but forged instructions to transfer S$1.5 million to buy property for S$1.49 million.  Credit Suisse was acquired by UBS in 2023 March.  Soh Yuan-Yi jail sentence will start on 29th January 2026.
