The world’s largest stablecoin issuer Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino has clarified report by Financial Times on scaling down to $5 billion fundraising from $20 billion fundraising at $500 billion valuation, as previously reported by Bloomberg in 2025.  The $15 billion to $20 billion fundraising range was hypothetical scenario but have investors interest at $500 billion valuation.  In 2025 September,  Tether was reported to be raising $20 billion at $500 billion valuation.  Tether was launched in 2014 as RealCoin by Brock Pierce, Reeve Collins & Craig Sellars, as a cryptocurrency stablecoin pegged to the USD.  In 2024 December, Tether will generate more than $10 billion net profit for 2024, with earnings from investing its reserves in its cryptocurrency Tether (USDT) and United States treasuries, gold & other securities.  Tether (USDT) is a cryptocurrency pegged to USD.

24th September – The world’s largest stablecoin issuer Tether is reported to be raising $20 billion at $500 billion valuation.  Tether was launched in 2014 as RealCoin by Brock Pierce, Reeve Collins & Craig Sellars, as a cryptocurrency stablecoin pegged to the USD.  In 2024 December, Tether will generate more than $10 billion net profit for 2024, with earnings from investing its reserves in its cryptocurrency Tether (USDT) and United States treasuries, gold & other securities.  Tether (USDT) is a cryptocurrency pegged to USD.
