Switzerland pharmaceutical giant Novartis ($306 billion market value) has announced to buyUnited States anti-IgE therapies biotech company Excellergy for $2 billion.Excellergy was founded (Seeded Red Tree Venture Capital) in 2021 by Alex Eggel, Ted Jardetzky, Luke Pennington & Geoff Harris.Excellergy – Excellergy is a biotechnology company developing a first-in-class portfolio of trifunctional effector cell response inhibitors (ECRIs) to combat severe allergic diseases and help improve patient quality of life. By leveraging clinically validated Immunoglobulin E (IgE) biology with novel ECRI pharmacology, Excellergy is advancing beyond traditional anti-IgE approaches to directly target the source of allergic signaling—IgE bound to the effector cell.
