Prime Minister of UAE & Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Ordered by UK Court to Pay Ex-Wife $742 Million in Divorce Payout

The Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ruler of Dubai and billionaire Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has been ordered by a court in United Kingdom to pay his ex-wife Princess Haya Bint al-Hussein $742 million (GBP 554 million), the largest divorce payout awarded by the UK court.  The large payout including a large security deposit is attributed by the London court with evidence of Sheikh Mohammed ordering the hacking of phones of his ex-wife and her lawyers using sophisticated “Pegasus” state security software.  Princess Haya Bint al-Hussein is the half-sister of Jordan’s King Abdullah, and was the sixth wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
