HSBC Singapore Appoints Penny Goh as Independent Chairman of Board, Succeeds Mervyn Fong

HSBC Singapore has appointed Penny Goh as HSBC Singapore Independent Chairman of Board effective on 16th February 2022, succeeding Mervyn Fong who had served as interim Board Chair since August 2021. Mervyn Fong will continue to serve as Chair of the Risk Committee and member of the Audit Committee until his official retirement from the Board in April 2022. Penny Goh was first appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of HSBC Bank (Singapore) in August 2019, and is a member of its Audit and Risk Committees. Penny Goh was formerly the co-chairman and senior partner of Allen & Gledhill, one of Singapore’s oldest law firm.
