Sweden $222 billion pension authority Swedish Fund Selection Agency (FTN) has awarded $22 billion to 12 fund managers for 14 funds on premium pension platform to be invested in actively managed global equity funds focusing on large & mid-cap companies. The 12 fund managers are AMF Fonder, Carnegie Fonder, Fidelity (FIL Investment Management), JP Morgan Asset Management, Jupiter Asset Management, Robeco, Schroders, SEB Funds, Swedbank Robur Fonder, Columbia Threadneedle, Waystone Fund Management & Ålandsbanken Fondbolag. Announcement (24/2/26): “The Swedish Fund Selection Agency has made its award decisions in the procurement of actively managed global equity funds focusing on large- and mid-cap companies for the premium pension fund platform. 12 fund managers are awarded fund agreements for 14 funds. The Swedish Fund Selection Agency today, February 24, announced its decision in the procurement of actively managed Swedish equity funds focusing on large- and mid-cap companies. Of 99 tenders, 12 fund managers have been awarded contracts for 14 funds on the premium pension platform … … Six of the funds have previously been available on the fund platform and eight are new. The award decision means that approximately SEK 200 billion of premium pension savers’ funds will be distributed to the procured funds. For pension savers, the procurement means that all the funds in the category have undergone an extensive evaluation and are of high quality … … Over 900,000 pension savers have holdings in the funds affected by the procurement. The funds in the category that have not been allocated will after a phase out period be deregistered from the fund platform. Savers with funds removed from the fund platform are given the opportunity to make a new choice. If the saver does not choose, the funds are automatically moved to an equivalent procured fund.” Swedish Fund Selection Agency, FTN – FTN is a government agency tasked with procuring, reviewing, and quality-assuring funds for the Swedish premium pension system. The fund platform aims to offer high-quality funds that provide safer and higher pensions for pension savers. Around SEK 1,300 billion is currently invested in private funds on the Premium pension fund platform.
