India IT giant Wipro ($23 billion market value) chairman, founder & billionaire Azim Premji (age 80) with $22 billion fortune private investment firm Premji Invest & philanthropic endowment Azim Premji Foundation total assets have increased to $35 billion to $40 billion.  Azim Premji Foundation was founded in 2001 (Include 66% ownership of Wipro & other assets), and Azim Premji University was founded in 2010.  Azim Premji had transformed his family vegetable oil business (Western India Vegetable Products) to Wipro in 1977 after IBM exited India.  Azim Premji is signer of Giving Pledge in 2013 to give at least half his wealth to charitable causes.  In 2024, Azim Premji private investment firm ($10 billion AUM) Premji Invest was targeting to invest more into artificial intelligence (AI) companies & adopt usage of AI tools to manage investments.  Premji Invest returns & profits are to support the philanthropic activities of Azim Premji Foundation.  Azim Premji personal fortune is around $12 billion, and is the signer of the Giving Pledge in 2013 to give at least half his wealth to charitable causes.
