Japan Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group (SMTG) & UAE-Switzerland Novus Aviation Capital are launching a $500 million aircraft leasing fund to buy aircrafts and to lease aircrafts to airlines, which will generate cashflow from leases & sales proceeds from aircrafts for investors. Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group (SMTG) & Novus Aviation Capital have jointly launched the first fund with the $200 million Ortus Aircraft Leasing Fund in 2016, and launched 2nd fund Ortus Aircraft Leasing Fund II in 2019.
