Singapore Exchange Appoints Herry Cho as Head of Sustainability and Sustainable Finance

The stock exchange of Singapore, Singapore Exchange (SGX), has appointed former ING Head of Sustainable Finance Asia-Pacific Herry Cho as Managing Director, Head of Sustainability and Sustainable Finance with effect from 8th of February 2021.

Herry Cho Joins SGX from ING after 13 Years
Herry Cho joins SGX after more than 13 years at Dutch Bank, ING. In 2017, Herry was appointed as Director, Head of Sustainable Finance Asia-Pacific and founded the Sustainable Finance Asia Pacific team. She spearheaded the firm’s sustainability strategy and direction for the region. In 3 years, Herry established ING as a thought and action leader, and facilitated more than 30 sustainable transactions including green, social and sustainable bonds/loans and sustainability-linked loans.
SGX Sustainability Initiatives
In December 2020, SGX had announced plans to invest S$20 million to grow its sustainability capabilities and initiatives. S$10 million will be channeled towards new ESG-focused products, services and platforms while the tore S$10 million will be for supporting the financial ecosystem, strengthening internal capabilities and increasing CSR commitments.
All SGX sustainability initiatives will be housed under SGX FIRST Platform (Future in Reshaping Sustainability Together). Visit: SGX FIRST
