HSBC has announced the key & strategic hiring of Mathieu Forcioli as the new HSBC Global & APAC Head of Alternatives(HSBC Investments and Wealth Solutions (IWS) division for Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) business) based in Hong Kong and joining HSBC on the 1st of September 2022. Mathieu Forcioli joins HSBC from Antarctica Asset Management where he is currently the Head of Private (Private Markets).Prior, he was at Moonfare (Private Equity platform), UBS (leadership positions including Wealth Management Private Markets, Institutional Investments Group APAC), Merrill Lynch and Calyon.As HSBC Global & APAC Head of Alternatives, Mathieu Forcioliwill lead HSBC Alternatives, including partnership with HSBC Alternative Investments (Asset Management with $47 billion AUM & AUA), and open up opportunities for HSBC clients to participate in private markets & hedge funds.Mathieu Forcioli will report to Jan-Marc Fergg, Global Head of ESG & Managed Solutions, IWS and Stefan Lecher, Regional Head of IWS APAC.
