The Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission (SFC) & Radio Television Hong Kong have produced a law-enforcement TV drama with release on 11th January 2024, a true-to-life TV drama showcasing public investment scams, market misconduct, major enforcement cases including social media investment scams, ramp & dump schemes, insider dealing & market manipulation. Hong Kong SFC: “The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has teamed up with Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) to produce a new series of “SFC in Action”, a law-enforcement TV drama premiering on RTHK TV 31 on 11 January (Note 1). The true-to-life TV drama is the fourth series since 2010 (Note 2) to illustrate to the public prevalent investment scams and other market misconduct, to help them to avoid falling victim to these scams. Consisting of four half-hour episodes in Cantonese, the series recounts the SFC’s major enforcement cases in recent years, focusing on social media investment scams, ramp and dump schemes, insider dealing and market manipulation.” More info below:

10th January 2024 – The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has teamed up with Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) to produce a new series of “SFC in Action”, a law-enforcement TV drama premiering on RTHK TV 31 on 11 January (Note 1).
The true-to-life TV drama is the fourth series since 2010 (Note 2) to illustrate to the public prevalent investment scams and other market misconduct, to help them to avoid falling victim to these scams. Consisting of four half-hour episodes in Cantonese, the series recounts the SFC’s major enforcement cases in recent years, focusing on social media investment scams, ramp and dump schemes, insider dealing and market manipulation.
After the premiere on RTHK TV 31, all four episodes can also be viewed on the SFC’s YouTube channel.

- “SFC in Action” will air from 8:00pm to 8:30pm every Thursday from 11 January to 1 February 2024.
- The first series was broadcast in May and June 2010, the second series in April and May 2013, and the third series in August and September 2015.
