Japan Nikko Asset Management ($260 billion AUM) has announced the official name change to Amova Asset Management on 1st September 2025, and remains a full subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group. Nikko Asset Management was founded in 1959 in Japan. Amova – Am derived from Asset Management, mov derived from Movement & ova derived from Nova (Latin Meaning: New). In 2024 September, Nikko Asset Management ($240 billion AUM) announced to rename as Amova Asset Management on 1st September 2025, and to remain a full subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group.

11th September 2024 – Japan Nikko Asset Management with $240 billion AUM has announced to rename as Amova Asset Management on 1st September 2025, and remains a full subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group. Nikko Asset Management was founded in Japan in 1959. Amova is derived from Am (Asset Management) and ova (Nova, which means new in Latin).
