Switzerland Pictet Wealth Management ($970 billion Group AUM) has hired UBS 20-year veteran Regional Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Kelvin Tay as Pictet Wealth Management APAC Chief Investment Officer (CIO).  Kelvin Tay has 26 years of investment, private banking & financial industry experience at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, ABN AMRO & UOB (Overseas Union Bank).   Kelvin Tay – Kelvin is the Regional Chief Investment Officer at UBS Global Wealth Management. He is a member of the UBS Global Emerging Markets Investment Committee, as well as the Asia-Pacific Investment Committee where he provides strategic research and inputs into the cross asset investment and allocation process. Based in Singapore, Kelvin joined UBS Global Wealth Management Asia in 2006.  Prior to joining UBS, Kelvin held numerous responsibilities at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management (Asia). As the Asian Equities Strategist, he was responsible for equity allocation and managed an Asian equities portfolio. He was also responsible for selecting underlying equities for the private bank’s structured products and for conducting funds research. From 2002 to 2004, Kelvin was a Regional Telecoms Analyst (Vice President), JPMorgan Chase where he was consistently rated in the top 4 in surveys such as Asia Money and Institutional Investor.  From 2000 to 2002, he was also a Regional Telecoms Analyst with ABN AMRO (Asia) Ltd in Hong Kong, where his team was ranked no. 1 in the 2000 Greenwich survey. He was also ranked No. 3 in AsiaMoney’s Asia-wide regional telecoms analysts survey in 2001. Prior to that, Kelvin worked at Overseas Union Bank in Singapore as a credit analyst in loan syndications & capital markets.  Globally, Kelvin is our most sought after speaker in UBS. 29th September 2022 – Swiss Bank Pictet has made new key leadership appointments in Asia, with current Head of Pictet Wealth Management Switzerland Victor Aerni appointed as the new Head of Wealth Management Asia (1/7/23), Asia CEO Tee Fong Seng as Vice-Chairman & Evelyn Yeo as Deputy CEO Asia (1/1/23).  The process to identify the succession for Victor Aerni is currently underway.  Tee Fong Seng will continue to provide the Pictet Group with his unique perspective and insights on the Wealth Management market in Asia, reporting to François Pictet, Managing Partner of the Pictet Group and Chairman of the Board.   Marc Pictet, Managing Partner of the Pictet Group: “We thank Fong Seng for his leadership in developing our wealth management business in this important growth region for Pictet. Victor Aerni is an Equity Partner of the Pictet Group and has been the Zone Head responsible for German speaking Switzerland since April 2009. During his tenure, he has developed Pictet into a leading wealth manager in the German speaking part of Switzerland. Prior to joining the firm, he was at the Boston Consulting Group for 16 years. He has a degree in International Business and Economics from Sophia University, Tokyo, where he lived for four years.

A 30-year private banking industry veteran, Tee Fong Seng has led the wealth management business of Pictet in Asia since July 2019, during which time the number of employees and assets under management have grown significantly, a strong achievement amidst the restrictive operatingconditions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Evelyn Yeo is currently Head of Asia Investments and will be appointed Deputy CEO, Pictet Asia to support Sharon Chou (Head of South Asia and CEO BPCAL).  Based in Singapore, Evelyn will also continue as Head of Asia Investments. She brings over 20 years industry experience in leadership positions covering investment office, mandate consulting and sales management with Bank Julius Baer and UBS, before joining Pictet in 2019.
